Bee Found promotes social beekeeping by offering low-cost hives to new beekeepers, such as veterans and first responders, in an effort to turn them into life-long beekeepers.
Let's face it: the bees need our help. Pesticides, chemicals, and pests have significantly reduced honey bee populations. However, the cost has become a barrier to entry for many who want to promote pollination in their area while also having some delicious honey to harvest now and then. We aim to teach people how to keep bees while sharing their experience with other new beeks. But we also know that beekeeping isn't for everyone, and we have a solution. Right now, we're focusing on our Bees For Bravery program, which offers free hives, bees, and mentorship to veterans and first responders suffering from PTSD.
